UNSER GRÜNDER
Horst Rechelbacher war ein Pionier der holistischen Schönheit und ein Befürworter der ökologischen Verantwortung.
Der 1941 in Österreich geborene Horst begann im Alter von 14 Jahren in einem lokalen Salon zu arbeiten und stylte bis 17 in einem Salon in Rom internationale Berühmtheiten. Mit 20 gewann er die Europameisterschaft im Friseurhandwerk.
Er ließ sich in Minneapolis, Minnesota, nieder und öffnete seinen ersten Salon, Horst & Friends, sowie mehrere andere und wurde noch vor seinem 30. Lebensjahr ein erfolgreicher Salonunternehmer. Ein paar Jahre später litt Horst an einem Burnout und erholte sich dank pflanzlicher Heilmittel, Yoga und Meditation.
Aveda wurde mit der Vision 1978 geboren, Schönheitsexperten botanische Produkte bereitzustellen, die gut für sie, ihre Gäste, die Erde und ihre Gemeinschaften sind.
Mit seinen Ideen revolutionierte er die Schönheitsbranche. „Wir sind die Erde,\" sagte er.
